Photon Velocity

Photon velocity is the QMU velocity unit \(\mathrm{velc}\). In APM/QMU structure, photon speed is not detached from the foundation units; \(\mathrm{velc}\) is the product of quantum frequency \({F_q}\) and Compton length \({\lambda_C}\). The SI bridge for the same quantity is \(c\).

Definition

Photon velocity is the maximum propagation velocity in the APM/QMU system. The QMU unit is \(\mathrm{velc}\), defined by the quantum-frequency and Compton-length product:

\[ \mathrm{velc}={F_q}{\lambda_C} \]

This states that a photon advances one Compton length per quantum moment. The conventional SI symbol \(c\) is the bridge notation for this same velocity:

\[ \mathrm{velc}=c \]

Propagation Anchor

The same identity may be read as the defining relation among \(\mathrm{velc}\), length, and frequency:

\[ {F_q}=\frac{\mathrm{velc}}{\lambda_C} \]
\[ {\lambda_C}=\frac{\mathrm{velc}}{F_q} \]
Temporal factor

\({F_q}\) supplies the chronovibration or quantum-frequency rhythm.

Spatial factor

\({\lambda_C}\) supplies the Compton-length quantum step.

Relation to Chronovibration

Chronovibration is the temporal standard or metronome of the Aether. Its oscillation rate is the quantum frequency \({F_q}\). Photon velocity is therefore the visible propagation result of chronovibration acting through the Compton-length step.

Relation to Aether Rotational Closure

Squared photon velocity appears in the Aether rotational closure identity in QMU-first form:

\[ {A_u}\cdot\mathrm{curl}={F_q}^{2}{\lambda_C}^{2}=\mathrm{velc}^{2} \]

This identity shows that photon velocity is not only a linear propagation quantity. Its square also closes with the Aether unit and curl, linking propagation to rotational magnetic-charge structure. The SI bridge is:

\[ \mathrm{velc}^{2}=c^2 \]

Relation to Curl

Curl is the QMU rotational unit built from magnetic charge:

\[ \mathrm{curl}=\frac{{e_{emax}}^{2}}{{m_e}{\lambda_C}} \]

Through \({A_u}\cdot\mathrm{curl}=\mathrm{velc}^{2}\), curl becomes part of the same closure neighborhood as photon velocity. This makes \(\mathrm{velc}\) the QMU bridge between propagation and rotational Aether structure, with \(c\) as the SI bridge symbol.

Mass-Energy Bridge

Photon velocity also appears in the rest-energy bridge:

\[ E={m}c^2 \]

Using \(\mathrm{velc}={F_q}{\lambda_C}\) and \(\mathrm{velc}=c\), the same bridge can be written in QMU foundation form:

\[ E={m}{F_q}^{2}{\lambda_C}^{2} \]

This places energy inside the QMU length-frequency propagation structure.

APM / QMU Role

Photon velocity \(\mathrm{velc}\) is the central QMU propagation anchor. It organizes velocity, acceleration, radiation, wave motion, energy, closure identities, and the connection between chronovibration and spatial extension.

Research Use

Photon velocity is a high-value research node because it joins time, length, energy, curl, and Aether closure. Useful directions include tracing every occurrence of \(\mathrm{velc}\), \(\mathrm{velc}^{2}\), \(c\), and \(c^2\), comparing \({F_q}{\lambda_C}\) with rotational closure, and mapping all QMU units that derive velocity from frequency-length structure.
